school girl

i'm sorry i didn't talk to you on the 15th. we blew bubbles for you :) i hope you got them. we were going to release red and blue balloons but we needed helium for it... and we didn't have it. so, guess what? willow's starting school tomorrow. she'll be in kindergarten. she's so excited about finally starting school. i can't believe it's already school time. bubba's in 4th grade and lexie's in 6th. brian and starley are starting at golden valley (which you'll recognize as my school) as seniors. brian has my p.e. teacher, mrs. balint-karr. i'm happy he has her. he'll like her. she helped me a lot when i was failing her class. i'm happy that she was tough on me, or i wouldn't have graduated. anyways, i just wanted to let you know about some stuff, and i did. by the way, here's some cute pictures of willow to hold you over until next time.

camping

guess what i get to dooo. i'm going camping! yeah, but not to alder creek... we're going to lake success. normally, i'd be pretty bummed. but now that i'm not scared of the water, i'm looking forward to it. there's just one thing that i'm worried about. i'm a girl... girls get one special time of the month. for a week. well, I'VE HAD MY SPECIAL TIME FOR TWO WEEKS AND IT SUCKS!! seriously, i think my cycle is screwed up. the last few times i've had it, it's been two weeks after i got off of it. and it's lasting a long time. i can't wait until i'm finally off of it. sometimes, i wanna go on birth control, just to keep it regulated. and light. anyways. i guess that's all... i usually have a ton of things to tell you, but nothing has really been going on. OH. last night, starley was going to brian's room. and she was walking backwards, but mom showed up at the door right when she turned around, and she screamed. haha, bonus.

Super Princess Ava Rosemeyer

This video is dedicated to Ava Rosemeyer, who passed away when she was just three years old. She was born on August 22, 2003. One day, she got in her parents' unusually unlocked car and couldn't find her way out. She became lethargic and fell asleep in the car. She spent 2 days in the ICU and passed away on February 5, 2007. Ava, you will always be in my prayers and thoughts. Since this video was made so close to your birthday, I wanted to wish you a happy 7th birthday and I hope all your wishes in Heaven come true. Sheye, Crayton, Luca, Mason, and Ivy; I'm thinking and praying for you every day.

pictures and memories

while i was looking through a photographer's blog, i came upon an extremely sad post. she'd posted that her 3 year old little girl had passed away. she explains in her post that her little girl had gone over to her grandfather's house to get something. they live right next door to each other and there's a wall surrounding both houses so the children can come and go as they please. well, little ava went to her grandfather's house, but she told him she was going back home. ava's mom thought she was still next door, as did her grandfather. when ava's dad asked where she was, her mom said "she was going to the car" but before she could say "and then to grand dad's house" her dad ran outside to the car and little ava was found asleep in the backseat of their car. they usually never park their car on the drive. and they always lock it, just not that day, by mistake. ava passed away from brain damage caused from heat exhaustion. i kept reading the blog and throughout the months of ava's passing, her mother had been posting pictures of her that she'd never proofed. it brought tears to my eyes because it made me start thinking about you. i never post pictures of you. so i looked through my computer and it hurts that these are the only photos i have of you. and they're not even taken by camera, but by phone. these pictures mean the world to me, simply because they're of you. they all capture your innocence, and the child in your heart.

this month, on the 15th, will be a whole year that we haven't had you here with us and every single day it feels like i'm missing something. that something is you. so as i type this up, tears are falling down my cheeks but i try to stop because brian and starley are in the other room, as is mom, and i don't want them to be concerned. most of all, i know how much you hate to see me cry. i remember i had a bad stomach ache when we went to visit you in delano, and you cut our visit short. not us. you. you said to take me home. so we did. i love how much you cared for me. you showed it in the smallest and largest ways. even when you were getting on to me about something, i know you only did it because you cared. you did everything because you cared. and i know you always will. when i feel down in the dumps, i wish i could just wrap my arms around you and just watch our favorite movie. the sound of music. i tried watching the movie a few weeks ago, and i just couldn't. it hurt too much because every time i looked to my side as i laughed, there was no one there to laugh with. but, one day that will change. one day, we will be together again. one day i'll be able to wrap my arms around you again, because i know you're there, waiting for me.

my darling super princess, forever cherished is the blog post ava's mother made about her. check out ava's page to learn a little more about her death. sheye rosemeyer photography is ava's mother's blog, if you'd like to check out her posts.

happy birthday!

it's your birthday today!!!! well today i'm going to try to convince mom to let us go visit you. rena's gonna be here this weekend, so if we go, she'll come, too. we've been hanging out quite a bit. she came over last weekend and we had a blast. brian's living with us now, and so is his girlfriend starley. we've been getting along really well. i would have written before, but we haven't had internet since we moved out of nana and papa's house. starley's birthday was this month on the 19th. she turned 18. her little brother called her and she asked him what he got her for her birthday and he said "a kick in the ass" haha. it was pretty cute. rena has a three-year-old nephew named kameron and he's pretty darn adorable. last weekend when we picked her up he had to say goodbye to her. and he gave her a hug and a kiss and we started to leave. but then kameron said "WAIT I HAVE TO GIVE HER A HUG!" haha. he's so cute. totally wish he was my nephew lol. anyways, i just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. so happy birthday, we love and miss you.

moving day

well, we're moving today. the house is smaller than nana and papa's but at least its our own. we get to choose our own times and we get to sleep in, thank goodness. the house is really cute. i'll post pictures once we get moved in and stuff. the three bedrooms are a little small but they'll work. the master bedroom is as big as a motel suite! so not fair. we have an island in the kitchen. a little island, but it's a island. i figure when the kids spend the night that's where they'll be eating. there will definitely be no children in my room without my supervision, with food, with drinks, or with grubby little hands. i plan on keeping my room clean and don't want that tarnished. i'm also being stingy and keeping my game systems and my movies in my room. i don't like my crap to be messed with or abused. whatever, it's not going to be happening to my stuff. anyways, i just wanted to let you know that we got a house! i love youuu.

new babies and old friends

okay before you yell at me, i know i've been absent. i didn't forget about you, i just... forgotihadablogforyou. DON'T THROW ANYTHING AT ME, I'M SORRY!! ...kay. i'm good. so anyways. we took a trip to kansas, even though i know you know that, the people reading this probably don't. so i'm gonna tell you about it anyways. we got to meet the new baby. she's absolutely gorgeous. i totally hope my own babies are as pretty as terry and elysian. i'm so jealous. i got to hold her (i held her most of the time) and i felt more like a mommy than an auntie because i was like, a hawk. every small sound she made i was right on top of it. we went to the zoo and the kids (terry, michael, brandi and rachell... notice how two are adults, one is a teenager, and only one is actually a toddler) played on the kiddie toys. anyways, point blank is, we all had a great time. i have pictures to prove it.

this is on the way to kansas. i got bored. i knew you'd like to see me in my true personality. so, here it is. i get it from you, you know.
this is the beautiful elysian karen reeder. sleeping is what she did most of.
i like this picture so i wanted to post it.
that is terry. isn't he getting big?
elysian... sleeping. again.
oh yeah, i almost forgot.

does this girl look familiar? well, she should! that's RENA! you know, best friend ever, haven't seen her in like, ten years? yes, the very same rena that lived right down the street. she came over on saturday and we had a pretty great time. we mostly just sat on the couch... but we shared memories, we talked about what we've been up to, and we joked around. she stayed for dinner too, and in the kitchen uncle was behind her, and she stepped back and said "ladies first". it was pretty funny. we're definitely going to have to get together again sometime. once we get our new house she gets to stay for the weekend, so yay us! can't wait for that. maybe i'll get sandra to stay the night with her. she's been wanting to meet her, lol. anyways, we had a good time. we talked about you. nothing bad, i swear, or the lord should send a lightning bolt upon me... -steps back- i'm kidding. HEY! YOU CAN'T THROW THE BIBLE! THAT'S UNHOLY! ...i might have to go to the hospital for that thunk, that thing weighs a hundred pounds... anyways. i told you everything. so goodnight and i love you.

favorite quote from saturday:

starley: -moves over-
uncle: oh, you're fine. i'll just sit over here in the corner.
rena: where you belong.

haha. yeahhh, it was pretty funny.
