old friends, old memories

aunt phyllis, uncle guy, little guy, shelby, and seth came over a few nights ago to exchange christmas gifts. it took a looong time to finally get together but we finally did it! papa got a picture of aunt phyllis sticking her tongue out at the camera. it took him a while for the camera to load and she said "hurry up, my face will freeze!" and seth cracked up big time. it's amazing how big they're getting. shelby is 13 now. little guy is 16 i believe. i think seth is 10 or 11. possibly 12. he's pretty short. aunt phyllis calls him her little midget. they joke that seth isn't theirs. it's pretty funny. i'm insanely jealous at how pretty shelby is. little guy looks exactly the same, yet he looks completely different. does that make any sense to you? he's not the little chunker he used to be. he's thinned out quite a bit. shelby's a bit chubby, but she always has been. she's taller than me! its not fair. i feel so short next to her, lol. aunt phyllis and uncle guy are graduating from taft college this year on may 21st, which is also the due date of rachell's baby, elysian. she's naming her elysian karen... not a big fan of the name, i think it's the weirdest thing i've ever heard. anyways, i just wanted to let you know what's been going on. oh, kayla (t.t.'s kayla) and juan (her boyfriend) brought their little girls over a few weeks ago. bella (but her real name is belladona) is 3 and lola (but her real name is amora) is 2. they're so adorable. bella is the exact replica of kayla. i felt like i was a little toddler again when bella was around. she gave me hugs and kisses and everything, and so did lola but she was more hesitant because she's really shy. kayla said it was amazing that she even walked over to me, let alone let me hug and kiss her, lol. willow and bella hit it off pretty well. lola was too involved in watching tinkerbell on the tv. they're both beautiful girls. anyways, i should go now. just thought you might like to know what was going on in my life :)

so... what's up with you?

not much for me. i've been thinking about starting this blog for a while now, because i know it's going to be interesting. i've had a couple crazy conversations with some of the kids. wanna hear some of them?

willow: katie.

katie: what?

willow: i love you.

katie: i love you too, bug.

willow: -silent for a few seconds. sighs- that means i want something, hellooo!

katie: hi, fatty.

terry: hi.

katie: hi.

terry: hi.

katie: i love you.

terry: huh?

sandra: aww, she has a gerbil!

katie: that's a duck.

sandra: a duck?

katie: a duck.

sandra: a duck. a duck? that's a duck?!

there are a lot more, but those are the ones i remember right now. sandra and i are always making jokes about you haha. it's out of pure love, i swear. anyways, i better wrap this up. i'm mommy this weekend!

introduction

well, i have my regular blog. but, i needed one to talk to my late aunt as well. of course, i know she's not REALLY reading it... she's in heaven, looking down at me while i type. but, i started writing "dear aunt terry" blogs on my myspace blog, and so far my family's really enjoying it. so, i decided to create a "dear aunt terry" blog. i think it'll be inspirational to others, in a way. i talk about everything on my blog to aunt terry. there's funny stuff, sad stuff, inspiring stuff, admirable stuff, and other stuff too. i'll post screen caps of my blogs on myspace and then i'll write my very first entry to aunt terry afterwards. this isn't a weekly, monthly, or daily blog, either; it's just a blog that i can express my feelings on.
